LingoBinge support
LingoBinge currently works in desktop Chrome on YouTube and Netflix. It reads English captions and swaps selected words into Indonesian. If that loop is not working, start with the quick reset below.
The 30-second reset
Turn on English captions in the player, refresh the video tab, then open the LingoBinge toolbar popup. Its status line tells you what the extension can see and what to do next.
Work through these in order
- 01
Turn on English captions
Use the CC button on YouTube or the speech-bubble menu on Netflix. LingoBinge currently reads English captions and swaps selected words into Indonesian.
- 02
Refresh the video tab
If you installed or updated LingoBinge after opening the video, reload that tab with Cmd+R or Ctrl+R so the extension can attach to the player.
- 03
Read the popup status
Open LingoBinge from the Chrome toolbar. The status explains whether it is connected, waiting for captions, seeing the wrong caption language, or unable to reach the service.
- 04
Raise the injection density
If the popup says it is connected but no words have changed, move the density slider up. Some lines deliberately stay unchanged when there is not a useful word to swap.
- 05
Check the version before emailing
The version appears at the bottom of the popup. Include it with the platform, popup status, and what you tried so we can diagnose the same build you are using.
YouTube marks some captions as auto-generated. Those can mishear words or split sentences oddly; captions written by a person usually give cleaner results.
Still stuck?
Email the platform, popup status, extension version, and what you already tried. The prepared message asks for exactly those details and no account is required.
