About LingoBinge

LingoBinge is a free Chrome extension that swaps YouTube and Netflix subtitle words into the language you are learning, so you build real vocabulary from videos and shows you already watch. It started with a simple goal: make learning Indonesian fit into time already spent watching, without adding another app to feel guilty about.

Why LingoBinge exists

Language practice is easier to sustain when it fits into time already spent watching. LingoBinge turns that idea into a complete loop: a few subtitle words change at the learner's level, each word can be translated and saved, and saved words return for review. The project is currently operated as a free public-interest project, not a registered charity or nonprofit. It accepts no payments or donations, and the core learning loop stays free.

Editorial standards

The learning guides on this site are published by the LingoBinge Editorial Team. A page is only described as reviewed when that review is recorded; older pages without a recorded review are being checked in priority order. We don't present the editorial team as a native-language reviewer or claim language-teaching credentials it doesn't hold. Native or specialist review is credited only when a real reviewer has completed it and consented to attribution. We never invent personas or fake reviews. Reaching 10,000 activated freemium learners would only permit a new decision. It would not enable charging. Any later paid work would need separate approval, stay strictly additive, and cover a genuine delivery cost without taking anything out of the free core.
